These wire and recycled paper compositions are made from our most plentiful and diverse material: paper. From spiritual texts, brilliant works of fact and fiction, money, to the wrapping on our most precious or least valued purchases, paper is mankind’s most extraordinary and expressive creation. Several years ago I challenged myself to sculpt with paper, to put recycled brown paper to use one more time before it joins the waste heap. The fantastic results are here.
In the sculptures on this site you’ll find parents taking joy in their children, youths fleeing the nest, solitary souls, outcasts, despots, victims, monsters and travelers both of distance and the mind. These are the subjects of my sculptures. Enjoy.
